AGRIGENUS - ANTICHI POMODORI DI NAPOLI - 400GR

ANCIENT NAPLES TOMATOES - 400 ml
The tomato comes from Central America. In 1600 it arrived to Europe imported by the Spanish that gave it a decorative value; possibly for this reason it hasn't kept its former name "tomate" but it has been called gold pommel. In 1700, according to the latest testimonial of oral tradition, it arrived in Italy as a gift from the kingdom of Peru to the kingdom of Naples and it was planted in the San Marzano area. In 1900 it assumed great appreciation from the gastronomic point of view, and the first conservation industries were built.
