MELATA - 250 GR

it is the only one honey that does not derive from the nectar of the flowers but from the sap of some plants, in Sicily prevales the conifer honeydew, the citrus honeydew and the eucaliptus honeydew. The sap is extracted from aphids and othert types of insects, wich mainly retain nitrogen and protein substances, regurgitating instead the sugary substances that are sucked by bees. Very rich in mineral salts present in plant sap.

Not overly sweet, very appreciated in Northern Europe.
